Sipadan Island which is located east of the town of Tawau and off the coast of Eartern Malaysia was nominated as one of the 261 qualified national and multinational nominees.
In order for Sipadan to qualify, it needs to be among the 11 finalists under the island category in the online competition which is currently ranked at number 14.

- One of the Top Five Diving Destitation in the World!
- One of the best places to Wall Dive (2000 feet, just 9.14m away from the beach)
